Tennis Europe, the governing body for junior tennis across 51 European nations, and Mental Point (www.thementalpoint.com), a leading mental training company specialising in competitive junior tennis players, have announced an official partnership to deliver structured mental skills programmes to young players competing across the Tennis Europe Junior Tour.
The collaboration marks a significant milestone in Tennis Europe's commitment to the holistic development of its members — ensuring that the next generation of champions are not only technically and physically prepared, but mentally equipped to perform at their best.
As part of the partnership, Mental Point will launch a free three-week training series — "Win the Mental Point" — available to all Tennis Europe Junior Tour players and families. The programme covers the three crucial phases of competition: pre-match preparation, in-match focus and resilience, and post-match growth and learning. Sessions are designed for players and parents, reinforcing the philosophy that mental development requires a team approach.
Mental Point is currently working with more than 450 junior players across Europe, Australia, and Latin America helping young athletes develop the mental tools to compete consistently, manage pressure, and thrive beyond the court.
Tennis Europe President Henrik Thorsøe Pedersen explained, "Around 90% of the Top 100 professionals from all over the world participated on the Tennis Europe Junior Tour as part of their pathway to success. But technical talent alone doesn't define a champion. The mental dimension of the game is where matches are truly won or lost. Our partnership with Mental Point reflects our ongoing commitment to providing young players and their support networks with the most complete development resources available."
Mental Point Founder & CEO Mar Mainetti added, "Mental training shouldn't be an afterthought — it's a necessity for any junior player who wants to compete at the highest level while safeguarding their personal well-being. The ages between 9 and 16 are a crucial window for personal development: the habits, mindset, and emotional tools built during these years will shape not only the player, but the person they become.
Partnering with Tennis Europe gives us the opportunity to reach thousands of families at exactly the right moment in that journey. Our 'Better Humans, Better Players' philosophy is about building resilient, confident young people who can reach their full potential on and off the court."
The "Win the Mental Point" webinar series launches in April 2026 and is open to all Tennis Europe registered players and their families free of charge. Registration is available here.
Beyond the webinar series, the partnership envisions a presence across Tennis Europe's tournaments, co-branded educational content, and long-term integration of mental training resources into the player development journey.
