The 2026 World Tennis/Tennis Europe 14 & Under Touring Team has completed a successful campaign, recording several strong results during three international tournaments in Germany, Belgium and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Guided by coaches Goran Shevchenko (MKD) and Irina Kuzmina-Rimša (LAT), this year’s team featured seven promising players representing six nations:
Boys
- Luis Bernardo Saraiva (POR)
- Andrej Temov (MKD)
- Anastasis Mosaikos (CYP)
- Kan Ahic (BIH)
Girls
- Noga Bar Shalom (ISR)
- Sara Tripic (BIH)
- Ania Curuia (ROU)
Their tour began at the 14&U Super Category Internationale Deutsche Tennismeisterschaften event in Düren, Germany. Luis Bernardo Saraiva made an impressive start to the campaign by advancing to the quarterfinals of the boys’ singles event. He also joined forces with teammate Anastasis Mosaikos in the boys’ doubles competition, with the pair reaching the quarterfinals.
The team then travelled to Belgium for the 14&U Category 1 Antwerp Young Champions Cup. Mosaikos and Saraiva both enjoyed strong runs in the boys’ singles draw, advancing to the semifinals.
Sara Tripic produced the team’s best result of the tournament, reaching the girls’ singles final after an excellent week of competition.
For the final stop of the tour, the players stepped up an age group to compete at the 16&U Super Category Open RCT Barcelona 1899-Sarajevo 2026 in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Rising to the challenge of facing elite players from an older age group, the team continued to deliver encouraging performances. Saraiva reached his second singles quarterfinal of the campaign, while Ania Curuia advanced to the quarterfinals of the girls’ singles event.
Curuia and Noga Bar Shalom also combined effectively in the girls’ doubles competition, progressing to the semifinals and bringing the tour to a positive conclusion.
Across the three tournaments, the players gained valuable experience against strong international opposition and demonstrated their ability to compete at both 14 and 16 & Under levels. Under the guidance of Shevchenko and Kuzmina-Rimša, the young athletes also experienced the demands of travelling and competing as part of an international team. They also learned about players' media duties, and contributed to the Junior Tour's Instagram:
The 14&U Touring Team is part of the World Tennis/Tennis Europe Development Programme, providing talented young players from developing tennis nations with opportunities to train, travel and compete together at leading international events. The experience plays an important role in preparing players for the demands of elite junior tennis while supporting their long-term development on and off the court.
