ITF/Tennis Europe 16 & Under Touring Team Begins Summer Tour

As the summer season gets underway, a new Touring Team is taking to the courts across Europe, competing in key junior events on the ITF calendar. This year, 4 boys and 4 girls from 8 Tennis Europe member nations have been selected to represent the 2025 edition of the ITF/Tennis Europe 16 & Under Touring Team.

The Touring Teams, part of the European Assistance program and supported by the Grand Slam Player Development Program, continue to provide a strong foundation for aspiring professionals. Past participants include top names such as Grigor Dimitrov and Jelena Ostapenko.

This year’s team:

Boys
Sebastian Tejerina (POL)
István Damján Mokán (HUN)
Alexandr Tiutchenko (UKR)
Zuka Kacheishvili (GEO)

Girls
Tea Kovacevic (BIH)
Maria Valentina Pop (ROU)
Lydia Panagiotidou (GRE)
Andrea Georgiou Papakyriacou (CYP)

Under the guidance of experienced ITF coaches Aleksander Jurgens (EST) and Olha Khaniukova (UKR), the players will take part in four ITF tournaments between June 10 - July 6, competing in two J60 and two J100 events. This year’s stops include Holte (DEN), Pazardzhik (BUL) and Timisoara (ROU), thus offering a mix of competitive environments across Europe.

In addition to on-court development, the Touring Team gives players a glimpse into the demands of life on tour - travel, adaptation and continuous learning. This year's Roland Garros Junior Doubles title claimed by former Touring Team members Alan Wazny and Oskari Paldanius is a testament to the program’s long-term impact.
