Tennis Europe strengthens junior safeguarding with new Coaches Registration Scheme

Tennis Europe strengthens junior safeguarding with new Coaches Registration Scheme

From January 1st, 2024, all coaches and other persons accompanying players that compete on the Junior Tour will be expected to register with Tennis Europe prior to attending tournaments.

The registration process is simple, free-of-charge and must be done only once.

This is a new and important safeguarding procedure for the Junior Tour, facilitating contact, ensuring adhesion to standard levels of knowledge and behaviour and allowing national associations to assign coaches more easily.

All coaches and accompanying persons remain accountable to the National Association.

The new scheme is part of the European Federation’s drive to ensure professional standards on the Junior Tour, which in 2023 consisted of 490 events held in 45 member nations, for players aged 12, 14 and 16 & Under.

As part of the registration process, all coaches and accompanying persons are asked to acknowledge and to abide by the following norms:

If you will be coaching or accompanying a player to a Junior Tour event in future, don't delay, Register Now!
