Almost 50 players from 21 European nations have been invited to compete at the season-ending 12 & Under Festival, due to be held from 14-19 November in Mallorca.
The event brings together the most prolific performers of the Junior Tour’s youngest age category for a unique singles and doubles competition.
All qualifiers have won or been runner-up at a Category 1 event during the 2022 season. The 49 players confirmed so far have combined to win an astonishing 62 Junior Tour singles titles.
Leading the girls’ entries are two players with three or more titles in 2022: Ida Wobker (GER) and Andreea Olariu (ROU), who has already made her mark on the 14 & Under circuit, winning the Category 3 event at home in Arad. In-form Anna Pircher (AUT) will also be in action, fresh from winning her first 14 & Under title in Tennis am See recently, where she qualified before going on to take the trophy without the loss of a set.
With three singles titles each to their name in 2022, Johann Nagel-Heyer (GER) and Francisco Sardinha (POR) lead the boys’ entries, ahead of two-time tournament winners Denzell Darkey (GBR), Mehmet Erçin (TUR) and Anton Kahlig (AUT).
A maximum of 2 boys and 2 girls per nation are invited and players will travel as national squads with their official Federation coach. Several wild card entries will be announced by Tennis Europe in due course.
Hosted by the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar, with full hospitality for all players and coaches, the Festival will also provide the players with a week of side events and entertainment at the facility in Manacor.
