Tennis Europe has announced plans for the Junior Tour's first ever officially-sanctioned 14 & Under tournament on grass.
The inaugural Junior International Roehampton will be held in London, England, from 7-11 June 2022.
The Category 1 event will give players a chance to compete on the famous courts on which the Wimbledon qualifying competition is played.
Tennis Europe CEO Thomas Hammerl commented, “We are proud and thankful to the LTA for providing young players with the chance to play on this traditional surface. Our focus is to offer a grass court swing on the Junior Tour in the coming years, with the goal of creating a better understanding of - and passion for - grass court tennis among junior players."
