Six players - Lukas Kacin (CZE), Lukas Lorincik (SVK), Maia Ioana Munteanu (ROU), Mila Berta (SWE), Marta Barisic (CRO) and Vanessa Balej (CZE) - will be returning to compete at the Festival for a second consecutive year.
Kacin and Lorincik have both been among the prolific winners on the 12 & Under circuit this season, with two Category 1 titles each (Kacin in Auray and at the Nisa Cup, Lorincik in Greblo and Koper). Balej has also won twice (the Nisa Cup and Rakovnik), while Munteanu (Daimon Cup) and Berta (TCBB Open) each lifted one trophy. Barisic reached three finals.
Serhii Sukhanov (UKR) is the leading boy of the season, having won four Category 1 titles (Rakovnik, Nexon Cup and both editions of the Alibaba Cup). Andrei Griguta (ROU) follows with three (HAI Cup, MNDB Open and the Buzau Tennis Open), while Andreas Leontis (CYP), Luiz Bauer (GER), Wiktor Mroczek (POL) and Niko Brolih (SLO) each have two. Spain is represented by two Category 1 champions, Tiago Charcos Charles and Yerard Amor.
Two girls won three Category 1 tournaments in 2026: Lylla Prolhac (FRA), in Greblo, Koper and Baden, and Josephine Silfverschiold (SWE), in Maglie, Bärchencup and Projekt 29. Four more girls won two each: Nia Sinchanova (BUL), Katya Repetto (ROU) and Emili Zamecnik (CZE), as well as Vanessa Balej.
Such is the level of talent that several of the players have already tasted success at their first 14 & Under events. Just last week Lucas Lorincik and Nia Sinchanova triumphed at the Cat.2 Les Petits As Europe Playoffs Wilson in Plovdiv (BUL), underlining their progress and earning them a spot in the main draw of the first Super Category 14 & Under event of 2027 in Tarbes.
Maia Munteanu won two 14 & Under titles (plus two doubles titles!), while Josephine Silfverschiold also claimed her first 14 & Under win in 2026.
Some familiar surnames pepper the acceptance lists; Estonia's Elizaveta Anikina has gone from strength to strength since winning the Festival in 2024, culminating in her European Junior Championship title last July. Her younger brother Michael Anikin will be hoping to emulate her success. Lucas Lorincik's elder brother Max was a doubles runner-up in 2023, while Marta Barisic's sister Korana won the doubles in 2024.
The stage is set for some intriguing encounters, but the players can also look forward to a week of hospitality, entertainment and off-court adventures at the world-renowned facility, including a visit to the Rafa Nadal Museum and an introductory Tennis Europe Junior School session.
In terms of nations, Czechia and Romania lead the way with four representatives each. Bulgaria, France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and Slovakia each have three, while Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine all send two players. Austria, Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Moldova, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Switzerland are each represented by one.
Several spots in the draws for are reserved for wild cards and are still to be confirmed. Check the tournament page for all the latest information.
