Six wild card recipients have been named for next week’s 12 & Under Festival. 64 of Europe’s top 12 & Under players will meet at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in Mallorca, Spain for the first edition of this innovate event.
The elite season-ending event will offer singles and doubles competitions, as well as a week of special off-court activities devised to entertain and educate the players in a true festival atmosphere.
The newly-confirmed boys’ players include multiple Category 2 title winners Alkis Michalakopoulos (GRE) and Andreas Hansen (DEN). Added to the girls’ draw are two of this season’s most prolific winners in Ustinia Avtaeva (RUS) and Angelica Sara (ITA), plus Tea Kovacevic (BIH) and Emilija Lebedevaite (LTU).
Four additional boys and four girls have also received invitations from the host organiser and the Spanish Tennis Federation. With the player line-up now complete, the total number of nations represented at the Festival is 29.
