With just eight weeks to go until the first edition of the 12 & Under Festival, former world #1 Rafa Nadal has sent a message of support for the participants.
The event, which will be played at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in Mallorca, Spain, will bring together 32 of the best European boys and 32 girls aged 12 & Under for a unique season-ending tournament from 15-20 November.
The Festival will invite winners of Category 1 events* held in 2021, providing hotel and hospitality for all participants. In addition to a range of side events during the tournament, the boys' and girls' champions will also receive a free one-week stay at the Academy.
Tennis Europe CEO Thomas Hammerl commented, “We have been exploring ideas for an end of season highlight for the top 12 & Under players from our member nations for some time. When Carlos Costa reached out on behalf of the Rafa Nadal Academy, we immediately knew that the event and venue were a perfect fit. We’re looking forward to staging a very special and memorable tournament for these young players.”
