The biggest junior outdoor team competition has come to an end, wrapping up with the 12 & Under Summer Cups by Dunlop. A total of 71 national teams took part across the boys’ and girls’ events, battling through the qualifying rounds for a place among the eight teams at each of the Finals.
France provided the setting for both Final Rounds, with four days of competition bringing the 2026 Summer Cups season to a close. Romania made history by claiming the boys’ title, while Czechia successfully defended the girls’ trophy.
Boys

Jiri Vasicek gave Czechia the first point with a 6-1 6-4 victory over Ruan Stefan Coman. Romania could hardly have produced a stronger response, as Andrei Griguta levelled the tie with a 6-0 6-0 win over Jakub Stalcik. With everything resting on the doubles, the Romanian team completed the comeback with a 6-4 7-5 victory to secure the trophy.
Czechia’s route to the final had included its own share of twists. The team recorded a 3-0 win over Austria before losing 2-1 to Italy, but recovered to beat France 2-1 and finish top of Group A. For Romania, the victory was a historic one. Since the 12 & Under competition was introduced in 2007, the nation had never previously lifted the boys’ Summer Cups trophy.
Girls

Anna Pospisilova (CZE) was pushed hard by Rose Millon (FRA) in the first singles, eventually coming through 6-4 3-6 6-3. Vanessa Balej then put the title beyond France’s reach with a 6-0 6-4 victory over Lylla Prolhac, leaving the doubles match unplayed.
The Czech girls had been in impressive form throughout the Final Rounds. They began with a 2-1 victory over Romania before 3-0 wins against Ukraine and Slovakia secured first place in Group A. Having also lifted the trophy in 2025, Czechia has now won back-to-back titles and five overall since the 12 & Under competition was introduced in 2007.
