Tennis Europe & DUOL team up to provide airdome solutions

Tennis Europe has partnered with DUOL to support clubs and federations across Europe in developing reliable, all-season and sustainable training facilities through innovative airdome solutions.

DUOL is a leading global manufacturer of custom-designed airdomes, with more than 30 years of experience and over 2,000 covered sports courts installed worldwide. The company specialises in practical, cost-effective solutions that help extend playing seasons and improve training conditions in a wide range of climate environments.

Across Central and Northern Europe, outdoor courts are traditionally unavailable during winter, while increasingly extreme summer temperatures in Southern Europe are also impacting training and competition. These challenges highlight the need for flexible infrastructure that allows tennis to be played year-round.

DUOL’s rapidly installed airdomes are designed with durability and sustainability in mind. The DUOL ECO Membrane offers a service life of over 40 years, is 100% recyclable, and complies with key sustainability standards. Long-term maintenance programmes further help extend lifespan and reduce environmental impact across the structure’s life cycle.

DUOL is already well established within European tennis, with installations at clubs such as MTTC Iphitos in Munich, Club zur Vahr in Bremen, and several David Lloyd venues in the UK. The company is also an official partner of the Bavarian Tennis Federation. Former professional tennis players, such as Maja Matevžič, also use DUOL airdomes to support the development of future generations of tennis players.

DUOL CEO and owner Dušan Olaj said: “Across Europe, we meet tennis clubs with the same ambition: they want to provide better training conditions, extend their season and develop young players. What often stands in the way is not the lack of will, but a combination of financial constraints, regulatory complexity and uncertainty about long-term viability. Alongside delivering high-quality airdomes, DUOL supports clubs with feasibility studies, certifications, financing models and long-term operational guidance. This partnership with Tennis Europe is a natural step, as together we can help clubs turn ambition into reality".

Tennis Europe President Henrik Thorsøe Pedersen added: “Access to quality training facilities is one of the key challenges for tennis development across Europe. With DUOL as our ‘Official Airdome Partner’, we aim to connect our member federations and clubs across the continent with a proven solution that helps ensure year-round playing conditions for players at all levels. This partnership also supports Tennis Europe’s commitment to sustainable tennis development.”

The two-year partnership will see Tennis Europe promote DUOL’s services across its member federations and at selected events, providing clubs with access to direct consulting and facility-related support.
