At the Tennis Europe Academy in TK Prostějov, Czechia, the clay court season is underway, and 20 promising players from 11 European countries are sharpening their skills for the challenges ahead. Led by the experienced Czech coaching team of Jaroslav Navrátil - long-time Czech Davis Cup captain and former coach of world No. 5 Tomáš Berdych - and David Kotyza - former coach of Petra Kvitová, Lucie Šafářová, Karolína Plíšková, and current coach of Linda Nosková, the players benefit from elite training and expert guidance throughout the week. | Photo Gallery
The 2025 edition of the camp features 10 boys and 10 girls aged between 12 and 14, selected by their national tennis federations for their outstanding talent and potential. Running from April 27th to May 3rd, the six-day camp offers a comprehensive program, including daily tennis drills, fitness and match play sessions, all tailored to preparing the players for the demands of the clay court season. Established in 2018 through a collaboration between Tennis Europe, the Czech Tennis Association, and TK Prostějov, the Academy plays an important role in supporting the growth and development of young players.
Fully supported by the ITF European Assistance budget, the camp covers all key expenses for the players, including accommodation, meals, and training facilities. Alongside the athletic development, the camp also provides players with valuable experience in an international environment, helping to build friendships and cultural understanding.
Following the camp, players will either return home or compete at upcoming Tennis Europe tournaments in Rakovník and Bielsko-Biała, applying the experience gained during the week.
