The wild card recipients have been announced for this year’s 12 & Under Festival. The second edition of this event will welcome 64 of Europe’s top 12 & Under players in Mallorca, Spain.
Throughout the week of November 14, the young players will have the opportunity to compete in singles and doubles competitions. The organisers are also preparing off-court activities, both fun and educational, providing a unique experience for the participants of this season-ending highlight.
Of the 64 qualified players, 49 have won and/or been runner-up at a Category 1 tournament in 2022, while the others have received wildcards from Tennis Europe or the host organiser.
The newly confirmed girls’ players include multiple Category 2 title winner Lydia Panagiotidou (GRE) and Category 1 semifinalists Paola Pinera (ESP) and Irene Basalo (ESP). On the boys’ list of wild cards, Erikas Maskolaitis (LTU) and Rene Bertos (CRO) are the ones with the most finals played this season.
29 Tennis Europe member nations will be represented at the Festival, which will be hosted by the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar. Draws will be available on the official tournament page on the evening of 13th November.
