Umag to host European Senior Championships

The coastal town of Umag in Istria, Croatia – well known for its ATP tournament – will host the European Senior Championships from 7-13 June 2021.

Europe’s most prestigious Senior Tennis tournament in terms of ranking points, the Championships will see all men’s and ladies’ age categories in action (Over 30 to Over 90), as well as doubles and mixed doubles competitions. The event will also be streamed live online for the first time.

Tennis Europe Seniors Committee Chair Spyros Zannias said, “We are delighted to bring our flagship seniors event to Croatia for the first time and we know that many in the global senior tennis community are already looking forward to the tournament as we emerge from a long lockdown period. The Croatian Seniors Tennis Association will provide perfect health and safety procedures and all players will be in a secure environment.”

Additionally, the ITF GMP Cup S700 will be held at the same location in the following week (14-20 June), providing players a unique opportunity to compete in back-to-back events.

The online entry process will open on Thursday 25th March.
