Tennis Europe Annual General Meeting postponed

Tennis Europe Annual General Meeting postponed

The Government of the Hellenic Republic has announced measures to combat the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), which include the temporary prohibition of operating conferences in Greek Territory, effective immediately and until 5th April.

This is a preventative measurement taken by the National Committee of Public Health Protection. As a result, Tennis Europe is forced to postpone its Annual General Meeting in Crete from the scheduled date of 26th – 28th March, 2020.

The safety and well-being of the delegates, companions and the organising staff is Tennis Europe’s main priority. Taking into account all factors, including the forthcoming Presidential and Board elections, the Board of Management believes that the safest and fairest option is to postpone the Meeting to the second half of 2020, when it hopes the global situation will have returned to normal and all delegates and candidates will be able to travel to Greece.

Tennis Europe is consulting with member nations, local authorities in Greece and the Hellenic Tennis Federation, and will provide further information regarding a new date as soon as possible.
