Sunday night saw a special edition of the Tennis Europe Junior School held for players at the 14 & Under development Championships in Antalya, Turkey.
The tournament players were joined by participants of a 12 & Under Training Camp for the classroom session, which looked at a range of topics including ‘The Tennis Family’, ‘Mental Health’ and ‘Social Media’.
Hosted by Tennis Europe CEO Thomas Hammerl and ITF Development Officer for Europe Vitor Cabral, the class was well received, with players taking ample notes and eager to take part in the interactive question and answer sessions. Player Salidin Rama of Kosovo said, "The Junior School was awesome. It was short, which makes the kids really focused, especially knowing we can get a prize! We learnt a lot!"
The Junior School is the only educational programme to be approved by the ITF, ATP and WTA and aims to prepare young players for life as professional athletes. The School will be on the road during the summer months and will be calling in on many Junior Tour events this year.
