TEJT Tournament Director Contest winners revealed

Tennis Europe has announced the winners of the 2015 Tennis Europe Junior Tour Tournament Director Contest, with several tournament organisers awarded prizes following an outstanding 25th anniversary year of the Tennis Europe Junior Tour in which many events made exceptional promotional efforts.

The main criteria for eligibility is the correct implementation of the Tennis Europe Junior Tour’s promotion guidelines, but other organizational requirements are also taken into account when evaluating the material received from events.

The main prize for 2015 was awarded to Roman Orlach of the Category 1 14 & Under Christmas Cup in Khimki, Russia. The event, which has grown enormously in terms of popularity and prestige in recent years, was judged to have perfectly complied with Tennis Europe’s promotional requirements. Mr. Orlach will therefore receive a two-day trip to Roland Garros in recognition of the tournament’s great efforts.

Second and third-place prizes of a Polar RCS GPS training computer and Wimbledon towels were awarded to Jorge Gonçalves of the 16 & Under Category 1 Beloura Junior Open in Portugal and Oleg Belehhov of the14 & Under Category 2 Narva Cup in Estonia respectively.

Prizes have also been awarded to winners of the HEAD Ball Sweepstake. All tournaments that use the balls of our Recommended Ball Partner, HEAD, are entered into a prize draw. This year’s first prize winner was Zika Manic of the 12 & Under Prokuplje Open in Serbia, who receives 2 tickets to attend the third day of play at Roland Garros. Other winners were Hristosko Atanasov of the 14 & Under Sport Palace Cup in Sliven (BUL), who won a HEAD racquet, and Zoltan Nagy of 14 & Under Category 2 Ábris Cup in Budapest (HUN), who will receive a HEAD TIP mini tennis kit.

The 2016 season is still young, so there is still plenty of time to send us your entries for the 2016 Tournament Director Contest.
