Tennis Europe hosts special Training Camp

The Tennis Europe Academy in Prostejov (CZE) is currently hosting a group of 20 players from 7 member nations.

Under the watchful eye of former world #5 Jiri Novak and his team, the group of 14 & Under players is making final preparations before competing at the European 14 & Under Championships in Most.

Supported by the ITF/Tennis Europe Development Programme, national associations from Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Malta, Slovenia and Ukraine have all sent squads to Prostejov, where the Tennis Europe Academy has been based since 2019.

This is the first occasion that the Academy has been offered as a training base prior to the flagship Championships, and has attracted several of the Tour’s top players, among them recent Summer Cups semi-finalist Ziga Sesko (SLO) and Ukrainian #1 Polina Kuznietsova, a three-time runner-up on Tour so far in 2022.

They’ll be hoping to acclimatise to the conditions in Czech Republic before launching their European Championship campaigns next week.
