Tennis Europe is proud to support next week’s International Women's Leadership conference in Berlin.

Held on June 15th in conjunction with the WTA 500 bett1open, the event focuses on equal rights and equal pay. WTA President Micky Lawler will discuss the social role of the WTA. There will also be round-table discussions on topics including ‘Tennis leading the way on an off the court’, and ‘Diversity: Role models leading the way in society’.  Participants include Barbara Rittner, the bett1open Tournament Director, and former Top 10 player Barbara Schett.

Gender Equality in Tennis is key priority of Tennis Europe which also has its own Gender Equality Committee led by Florence Alix-Gravellier.

Thanks to the kind invitation of the tournament organizer e|motion, all 50 Presidents of European national tennis associations are invited to join the conference in Berlin. The event concludes with an afternoon of matches at the bett1open Berlin grass court championships.

“Our conference is the ideal meeting point for all female presidents and executives from European tennis federations, for networking and inspiration” said  Edwin Weindorfer, CEO of e|motion Group.
