Milan hosts biggest-ever Tennis Europe Juniors & Pro Conference

Almost 100 delegates from 34 nations attended the Tennis Europe Juniors and Pro Tennis Conference last week in Milan, where the event was held alongside the ATP NextGen Finals.

Hosted by the Italian Tennis Federation from 6-7 November, the biggest-ever edition of the conference welcomed leading speakers from across the sporting world, and was specifically devised for tournament directors and staff working in junior and pro tennis departments of national tennis federations. With an upgraded format for the biennial meeting, Tennis Europe aims to provide a platform to increase and improve dialogue and contacts between member nations, the professional tours (ATP, WTA), ITF and major players from the sports industry.

The two-day meeting featured interactive working groups, panel discussions and traditional presentations, and delegates were also invited to attend a session of the ATP NextGen Finals.

The speaker line-up included contributions from:

  • IMG
  • International Tennis Federation
  • FC Inter Milan
  • ATP Tour
  • Nicolas Almagro (former ATP #9)
  • Italian Tennis Federation
  • German Tennis Federation
  • US College Tennis
  • Lawn Tennis Association
  • French Tennis Federation
  • and more…

Launching the event, Tennis Europe President Vladimir Dmitriev commented, “I cannot think of a better location for this event. This ATP NextGen Finals are the perfect confluence of all that will be discussed, offering us a wonderful opportunity to follow some of the most promising players to have graduated from the Tennis Europe Junior Tour to the world of professional tennis in recent years, and the chance to see innovative and exciting new match formats in action.”
