European Senior Players of the Year

Tennis Europe has revealed the names of the winners of the European Seniors Players of the Year titles for 2013.

Three men (Peter Pokorny, Jaime Furio and Angelo Sala) and five women (Ingrid Gutmann-Resch, Renata Tomanova, Heidi Eisterlehner, Gail Benedetti and Erzsebet Szentirmay) successfully defended their titles from 2012. Men's 70s winner Peter Pokorny maintains his incredible streak of having won a title almost every year since the introduction of the award in 2000, missing out only once (2009), whilst Heidi Eisterlehner of Germany claims a Player of the Year title for a tenth time.

The Men's 45s title will be shared by Germans Michael Kocher and Stefan Samweber after both players finished the year with an identical ranking. Women's 40s winner Tzvetelina Nikolova (pictured) becomes the first Bulgarian ever to win a Seniors Player of the Year Award.

The complete list can be found below or on our special gallery of the winners. Medals and certificates will be handed over to representatives of the national tennis federations at Tennis Europe's Annual General Meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria, in March.
