Malta prepares for Annual General Meeting

Tennis Europe’s 45th Annual General Meeting is set to take place this weekend in Valletta, Malta, with representatives of a record 43 national tennis federations present.

The delegates will be joined by key decision makers from the tennis world, including ITF President David Haggerty, who will update the assembly on the latest news from the sport’s governing body.

Friday’s Open session will be highlighted by Panel Discussions, during which Tennis Europe offers delegates the opportunity to discuss three of the hottest topics currently affecting the players and administrators of the sport:

  • ITF World Tennis Tour Tournaments (Practical Experiences)
  • Davis Cup (New format: Opportunities and/or Challenges for Federations)
  • Live Scoring (Impact of the IRP report on revenue streams for Federations)

The Meeting will also hear of Tennis Europe’s activities over the past 12 months, including the successful launches of the Tennis Europe Junior School, the Tennis Europe Academy in Prostejov, and the new cooperation with the ATP 500 Hamburg Open European Championships, amongst other matters.

The AGM will be staged from 29-30 March at the Excelsior Hotel and hosted by the Malta Tennis Federation.
