Seniors Tennis
Europe boasts a vibrant circuit of Seniors Tennis competitions, comprising over 110 events ranging in age categories from 35 & Over to 85 & Over.
On behalf of the ITF, Tennis Europe administers all of the tournaments that take place in Europe as part of the ITF Seniors Circuit.
After the successful setting up of a European Circuit in 1996, a merger with the ITF Seniors Circuit was agreed in 2003,
when the Seniors game was unified under one rankings system, calendar and governing body.
European Championship events form the pinnacles of the European calendar, with the Indoor Championships in Seefeld (AUT) opening the season
in January. Outdoor Championships are also held in the summer, at various locations. The enormously popular European Club Championships are held for both men and women
and have long been seen as both a social and sporting highlight of the senior player circuit.
