Frequently Asked Questions - Tennis Europe Junior Tour 12/14/16 & Under

Q: How do I enter and withdraw from a Tennis Europe Junior Tour tournament?

A: All entries and withdrawals from the Tennis Europe Junior Tour Tournaments must be sanctioned (approved/signed) by your National Tennis Association using the electronic forms that are sent by Tennis Europe to the National Associations. National Associations deal with entries and withdrawals in various ways, some will send you the entry form or withdrawal form and ask you to complete it and send it back to them to sign, others will complete the entry or withdrawal form on your behalf. You should contact your National Association to find out how their system works.

Q: What are the entry and withdrawal deadlines for a Tennis Europe Junior Tour Tournament?

A: Entry deadline:

Category 1 and 2 Tournaments - Monday 4 weeks before the start of the Main Draw

Category 3 Tournaments - Monday 3 weeks before the start of the Main Draw

Withdrawal deadline:

Category 1 and 2 Tournaments - Monday 2 weeks before the start of the Main Draw

Category 3 Tournaments - Monday 1 week before the start of the Main Draw

Q: How are late withdrawals and no-shows penalised?

A: Late withdrawals and no-shows without justified explanations are punished with penalty points.

 

Q: How do the rankings work?

A: The player's Ranking is established on a rollover basis, i.e. taking into consideration the results of the last 52 weeks

The five best singles results, plus the two best doubles results and one team competition result count towards a players' ranking.

Q: How many Tournaments can I enter each week?

A: Players may not enter or compete in more than one tournament per week. Players may not participate in qualifying for an event at the same time they are participating in another tournament in either singles or doubles.

Q: What are the age requirements to play on the Tennis Europe Junior Tour?

A: To play during the period 07 October 2008 – 05 October 2009 the players must have been born in the following years:

For 16 & Under; 1993, 1994, 1995 or 1996
For 14 & Under; 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 or 1999
For 12 & Under; 1997, 1998 or 1999

Please note that the players aged 12 & under are not authorised to play at 16 & Under tournaments outside of their own country and may not play more than 10 tournaments per calendar year (this includes 14 and 12 & Under tournaments).
