France defended their 16 & Under Boys' Tennis Europe Winter Cups by HEAD title with a 3-0 win over Czech Republic at the finals in Ronchin. Grégoire Barrere put the home team ahead with a 6-0 6-4 win over Vaclav Safranek in the opening singles match before Europe's #10 player Mathias Bourgue settled the tie with a 6-0 7-6 victory over Czech #1 Marek Jaloviec. The two players then returned to the court for the dead doubles match, in which Bourgue teamed with Lucas Pouille to defeat Jaloviec and Adam Pavlasek 7-5 7-5. Seeded #2 this year, France has now won four of the last six editions of this age category of the competition, and has won the event more times than any other nation with a total of twelve 16 & Under titles.
