Unseeded France shocked defending champions Russia 2-0 to win the Copa del Sol title for a record eighth time, reversing the result of the 2007 final.

Tennis Europe Junior Tour #288 Mathias Bourgue scored a remarkable win over #4 Konstantin Gerlakh for the loss of just four games to give the French team the lead before 11th-ranked Lucas Pouille upset European #1 Evgeni Karlovskiy 64 64 to put the tie beyond the reach of the winners of the last two editions.

France and Russia will now move on to compete at the World Junior Tennis event in Prostejov (CZE), where they will be joined by fellow qualifiers Great Britain and Croatia.
