2009 Tennis Europe Junior Tour Players of the Year

The Player of the Year title rewards the three best-performing European players in each age category on the Tennis Europe Junior Tour, with the #1 in each category receiving a state of the art Polar RS800 CX computerised training wrist watch, worth €400.

The accolade has a track record of predicting future greatness; many of todays top players earned early recognition with the award, including stars such as Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, Mario Ancic, Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin and Alexandra Dulgheru.

14 & Under Girls

Petra Rohanova (CZE)

Rohanova restricted her play to the Tour's biggest events in 2009, winning Category 1 Rakonik, and reaching at least the semi finals of five other events, including a runner-up spot at the European Championships.

Nikola Milojevic (SRB)

The oustanding player of all ages on the Tour in 2009, Milojevic played just 6 events: and won five of them! The Serb secured the year-end #1 spot as early as July, establishing an insurmountable lead with biggest prize of all, the European Championships.

Elena Cadar (ROU)

In reaching the finals of three Category 1 events, winning one (Ulm), and also picking up a title in Brno, Elena helped ensure that Romanian players would finish in the top two positions for a second consecutive year.
